The Stanhope-Netcong American Legion Ambulance Corps responded to the crash on Brooklyn Road in Stanhope and found a heavily damaged truck that had veered off the road and struck a tree just after midnight, the squad said.
Two victims were evaluated and taken to a nearby trauma center for further treatment with help from the Hopatcong Ambulance Squad.
